The coronavirus pandemic (Translated)

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.
The disease causes a respiratory illness (such as the flu) with symptoms such as cough, fever, and, in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with sick people.
How it spreads
Coronavirus disease is spread mainly through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus, then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

The outbreak was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11. This is when an infectious disease is easily transmitted from person to person in many parts of the world at the same time.

The WHO said it took more than three months to reach the first 100,000 confirmed cases worldwide, but it took less than a week to double from 500,000 to one million.
The actual number for the number of people with coronavirus is believed to be much higher, as many of the people with milder symptoms have not been tested or counted.

Earth Day: 10 fascinating facts about our planet (Translated)

International Earth Day is celebrated every April 22 and this year is even more special, since the commemoration is half a century old.
The date chosen by the UN to honor our planet recalls the events of April 22, 1970, when 20 million people took to the streets of the main cities of the United States to protest the damage that human activity was causing them in environment.
On the occasion of Earth Day, we review some fascinating facts about the planet we call our home.
1. Earth is not a perfect sphere
The Earth is flattened at the poles, making its shape more like an oblate spheroid.

2. Water covers more than 70% of the Earth

3. The border between Earth and space is 100 kilometers above sea level

4. Earth is an iron planet
Earth is the densest and fifth largest planet in the solar system.

6. Gravity is not the same everywhere on Earth

7. Earth is a planet of extremes
8. The Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Australia, is the largest single structure made up of living organisms on the planet.

9. Earth is the only planet in the solar system with active tectonic plates

10. Earth has a protective shield

Eso es todo por el día

Buenos días y gracias a todos

Adios
