Buenos días chicos

Welcome to my another blog. I hope all of you are enjoy this online learning process. 

Very well, today for the first time we are going to start Translation class. In this class and all the future translation classes, you will get a paragraph either in Spanish or in English and you have to translate it the opposite language. You are supposed to use dictionary for translation ( online or offline) and you are also supposed to maintain an extra notebook for translation after the lockdown gets over. This year we will practice translation of all sorts of texts, from news article to business documents. 

So far we have covered all the tenses and most of basic grammar part. Now is the time to use all your knowledge of spanish. Translation is going to help you build vocabulary as well as it will give a much better understanding of the language that you are learning.

Important : a) Use of google translator or any other translator is strictly prohibited

                   c) One important that you have to keep in your mind is to identify the difference between simple past (preterite)  and past perfect tense ( ado / ido ). 
                   d) A word can have two different meaning, You can see the multiple context of the or a sentence on linguee.es.

La enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) es una enfermedad infecciosa causada por un nuevo virus.
La enfermedad causa una enfermedad respiratoria (como la gripe) con síntomas como tos, fiebre y, en casos más graves, dificultad para respirar. Puede protegerse lavándose las manos con frecuencia, evitando tocarse la cara y evitando el contacto cercano (1 metro o 3 pies) con personas enfermas.
Cómo se extiende
La enfermedad por coronavirus se propaga principalmente a través del contacto con una persona infectada cuando tose o estornuda. También se propaga cuando una persona toca una superficie u objeto que tiene el virus, luego se toca los ojos, la nariz o la boca. 

El brote fue declarado una pandemia mundial por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) el 11 de marzo. Esto es cuando una enfermedad infecciosa se transmite fácilmente de persona a persona en muchas partes del mundo al mismo tiempo.

La OMS dijo que tardó más de tres meses en llegar a los primeros 100,000 casos confirmados en todo el mundo, pero que se tardó menos de una semana en duplicarse de 500,000 a un millón.
Se cree que la cifra real para la cantidad de personas con coronavirus es mucho mayor, ya que muchas de las personas con síntomas más leves no se han probado ni contado.

      Coronavirus | "No es una creación de laboratorio"


La pandemia del covid-19, que ya ha dejado más de de un millón de personas contagiadas y más 60.000 muertos, ha transformado el mundo tal como lo conocimos. 
Y, quizá inevitablemente por su tremendo impacto, ha alimentado una serie de teorías conspirativas que surgieron poco después de que se dieran a conocer los primeros casos en China, en enero de este año.
La mayoría de ellas se centra en dos hipótesis: la primera, que el nuevocoronavirus fue creado en un laboratorio chino y esparcido como arma biológica en contra de otras potencias.
Y la segunda, que ese mismo virus sintético había logrado escapar, como consecuencia de la negligencia de los investigadores chinos, y que empezó así a propagarse por el mundo. 

Quienes las defienden argumentan que existen virus sintéticos -necesarios para la investigación científica- y que ya en el pasado se han dado filtraciones de laboratorios considerados de alta seguridad. 
Y que además, en Wuhan, la ciudad china donde se originó la pandemia, se encuentra un instituto de virología que contiene varios virus de alta mortalidad y está situado cerca del mercado señalado como foco inicial de la pandemia. 
Pero un grupo de científicos acaba de desmentir dichas creencias. 
Los investigadores lograron establecer que el SARS-CoV-2 (el nombre del virus que causa el covid-19) no es una invención humana, sino que es producto de la naturaleza.

Preterito imperfecto
